Men's Lacrosse Shoots Hoops For Down Syndrome Awareness

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Dec. 22, 2014) - The LIU Post men's lacrosse team recently hosted a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the Pratt Recreation Center to help raise down syndrome awareness.

During this time, the student-athletes, led by senior Dan Jeannotte (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), showed the importance of teamwork, skill development, and having fun in sports and in life to children.

"Each of us shared our love of sports and team camaraderie with the enthusiastic young guests at the school," said Jeannotte. "It was such a rich reward to be working with these amazing children."

The event was held in conjunction with LIU Post's 11th-annual Conference on Best Practices in the Education of Children With Down Syndrome.
