CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Dec. 8, 2014) - After leading the LIU Post women's basketball team to a perfect 2-0 record last week, senior guard Chelsea Williams (Copiague, N.Y.) was selected as the East Coast Conference Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.

Williams averaged 24.5 points in the two conference wins, pouring in a career-best 32 in a 75-69 come-from-behind win at Bridgeport on Wednesday (Dec. 3). The senior then scored 17 in LIU Post's 80-71 victory over Dowling on Saturday (Dec. 6).

The Copiague native has now reached double figures in points in each of the team's first seven games, and eclipsed the 20-point mark in all but two contests.

Williams and the Pioneers return to action on Saturday (Dec. 13), when they take on UDC in an ECC battle in Washington, D.C. The opening tip is slated for 1 p.m.
