BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 10, 2014) - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and Lacrosse Magazine released their respective Top-15 men's lacrosse polls Monday, and LIU Post climbed one spot to No. 3 in both Division II tallies.

For the third-consecutive week, Le Moyne was the unanimous No. 1 in the USILA rankings, totaling 150 points and 10 first-place votes. In part to Mercyhurst's 10-7 loss on Saturday, Adelphi, LIU Post, Limestone, Seton Hill and Tampa all took one step forward to claim the two-through-six slots.

Mercyhurst dropped from second to seventh. Merrimack (No. 8) and Dowling (No. 9) retained their positions, while NYIT came in 10th. Dominican (Calif.), Lenoir-Rhyne and Colorado Mesa all made their debuts to round out the Top-15.

The Top-5 from the USILA poll also held true for Lacrosse Magazine. NYIT improved the most in the ledger, skyrocketing from 12th to ninth. On the other hand, Lake Erie suffered the biggest dropoff. The Storm went from ninth to 14th.

This past Saturday, the Pioneers got out to a 3-0 start to their season, defeating UDC, 16-4. Sophomore attackman Matty Beccaris (North Babylon, N.Y.) led the offensive charge for the green and gold, tallying a game-high six points (2 G, 4 A). Classmate Ryan Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.) was right behind him with a five-point effort (3 G, 2 A).

LIU Post returns to action Tuesday (Mar. 11), when it squares off with No. 2 Adelphi at Hickox Field in Brookville, N.Y. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
