PERRY, N.Y. (Apr. 21, 2014) - The LIU Post men's lacrosse team, coming off a tough 9-8 triple-overtime setback at NYIT on Saturday, was listed 15th in Monday's USILA Division II Poll.

The Pioneers never led in the contest, but rallied from a two-goal deficit in the final 2:16 of regulation to force the extra session. Junior attackman Chris Caiazza (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) tallied the equalizing goal with 1:33 to go. Graduate goalie T.J. DiCarlo (Farmingdale, N.Y.) made a season-best 15 saves in the loss.

The Top-8 stayed the same for the second-consecutive week. Adelphi spearheaded the pack with its unblemished 13-0 record. The Panthers collected 165 points and 11 first-place votes. One-loss teams Le Moyne and Limestone followed, which were succeeded by two-loss programs Mercyhurst, Dowling and Tampa in the No. 4, 5 and 6 slots.

NYIT stood pat in seventh, while Merrimack remained eighth. Florida Southern and Pfeiffer respectively flip-flopped at ninth and 10th.

Queens (N.C.) climbed from 14th to 11th, whereas Wheeling Jesuit (No. 12) and Seton Hill (No. 13) each dipped one spot. Lake Erie, sporting an 8-3 record, moved up one notch from last week to No. 14.

Head Coach John Jez and his LIU Post squad return to action Saturday (Apr. 26) against East Coast Conference arch-rival Dowling in their 2014 regular-season finale at Hickox Field in Brookville, N.Y. The opening faceoff is set for noon.
