Enter the ECC School Spirit Contest!

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Apr. 23, 2014) - The final ECC social media contest of the year is here! Want to win a GoPro Camera, an iHome Charge and Play alarm clock, or a $50 Sports Authority gift card? Well beginning on Apr. 23, it's possible as the ECC's School Spirit Instagram Contest brought to you by Sports Authority is back!

So how do you enter? All you have to do is follow these few steps.

1. Follow the East Coast Conference on Instagram (@ECCSports).
2. Take a picture that best shows your school spirit for your favorite ECC school.
3. Tag the picture with the hashtag #ECC and the following hashtag from your favorite school.

The contest will end on May 6. Three winners will be selected by the East Coast Conference. One grand prize winner will receive a brand new GoPro Camera. Second prize will be an iHome Charge and Play Alarm Clock and  the third prize will be a $50 Sports Authority gift card.

Contest Rules and Information
This contest does not have a connection with Instagram in any way and is not sponsored, supported, or organized by Instagram. The recipient of the information provided by you is not Instagram, but the East Coast Conference.

Eligibility
All contest entries made to East Coast Conference in response to the April/May 2014 ECC School Spirit Instagram Contest brought to you by Sports Authority, are eligible to be a winner. The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 states of the U.S., and the District of Columbia. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. This contest is sponsored by the East Coast Conference, 300 Carleton Avenue, Central Islip, NY 11722. Employees of the ECC and their respective household members are not eligible. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

How to Enter
No purchase or contribution is necessary. You may enter this contest by following the ECC on Instagram, followed by posting a picture that best shows school spirit with the hash tag #ECC and one of 11 school specific hash tags. No other method of entry will be accepted. Contest begins April 23. The contest winners will be selected May 6, 2013. Incomplete entries are void.
 
Selection of Winner(s)
Winner(s) will be selected by the East Coast Conference staff from among all eligible entries received by the deadline dates above. Winners will be selected within 24 hours of end of contest(s). Winner(s) need not be present to win. Winner(s) will be notified by Instagram, and/or telephone and/or e-mail within 24 hours of drawing. Every reasonable attempt will be made to award the prize. If after every reasonable effort has been made (three (3) attempts over 30 days) to award the prize but the potential winner(s) cannot be reached, potential winner(s) has refused to accept the prize, prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or entrant is found to be ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and become property of the East Coast Conference.

Odds of Winning
Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winners' names, hometowns and likenesses for publicity purposes without additional compensation. Winners will be notified by Instagram and/or telephone and/or e-mail.

Limit of Entry
Limit one entry per Instagram account. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements. The ECC is not responsible for failures in technology such as but not limited to: technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any website or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, or misdirected entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Proof of tweeting does not constitute proof of delivery.

Prizes
Three (3) winners will be selected. All prizes are non-transferable. Prize value varies based on prize. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. All taxes on the prizes, including but not limited to federal, state and local income and sales taxes, and any expense not covered herein (including but not limited to expenses related to the use of the prize) are the responsibility of the winners.

Prizes to be given away:
1.    One (1) GoPro Camera.  Deadline to enter is Tues 5/6 at Noon.
2.    One (1) iHome Charge and Play alarm clock. Deadline 5/6 Noon.
3.    One (1) Sports Authority Gift Card (value $50). Deadline 5/6 Noon.

Other Important Points
Prize drawing participants, by entering, release the ECC, its employees and its agents from any liability with respect to the receipt or use of any awarded prize. The ECC disclaims all warranties, guarantees or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, or merchantability of any prize.

The East Coast Conference reserves the right to cancel this contest and not award any prize in the event that in its judgment unforeseen developments warrant cancellation.

For the names of the prize winners, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope before June 15, 2014 to East Coast Conference, 300 Carleton Avenue, Central Islip, NY 11722. Winners list will not be available until after May 13, 2014.
