Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week.
Austboe collected nine points in a 5-0 drubbing of Long Island rival Adelphi on Saturday night in Garden City, N.Y. The senior scored four goals and added an assist on another. Austboe's first goal came just nine seconds into the contest, which is tied for the fifth-fastest goal to start a game in NCAA Division II history.
Austboe and the Pioneers return to action on Thursday (Sept. 11), when they travel to Bridgeport, Conn. to take part in the Purple Knight Classic, hosted by the University of Bridgeport. LIU Post takes on Merrimack at 4 p.m.
