PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Nov. 22, 2015) - The LIU Post women's swimming team raced to six NCAA Division II provisional qualifying times on Sunday, wrapping up competition at the Frank Elm Invitational, hosted by Rutgers University.
Senior
Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) was second in the 200-yard butterfly, touching the pad at an NCAA "B" cut of 2:00.43. In the preliminaries, she won the event after clocking a 2:00.83, which was also a provisional mark for the national championships.
Fellow senior
Meghan Brazier (West Vancouver, British Columbia) registered a pair of NCAA "B" cuts in the 100-yard freestyle, She swam to a sixth-place 51.73 in the prelims, and followed that up with a seventh-place 51.62 in the finals.
Sophomore
Laura Bendfeldt (Grosshansdorf, Germany) finished third in the "C" final of the 100-free, clocking an NCAA-provisional 52.15. Additionally, she led off a 400-yard free relay, alongside Kwok, Brazier and senior
Seren Jones (Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom), that posted an NCAA "B" cut of 3:29.23.
Lastly, in the 200-yard backstroke, Jones swam a third-place time of 2:06.64. Meanwhile, in the "C" final, freshman
Karis Fuller (London, England) recorded a second-place 2:06.55.
