BALTIMORE, Md. (Dec. 30, 2015) - LIU Post seniors Matty Beccaris (North Babylon, N.Y.), Anthony Berardis (Mahopac, N.Y.) and Ryan Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.) have been named to the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook Preseason All-America Team for 2016, it was announced Tuesday.

Beccaris and Berardis garnered Preseason All-America first-team accolades, while Slane landed a spot on the second-team. It is the second-straight year that Beccaris and Berardis have secured Preseason All-America honors from Inside Lacrosse.

Beccaris was the East Coast Conference's second-leading goal scorer in 2015, finding the back of the cage 44 times. He rounded out the season with a team-high 66 points, which placed sixth-best amongst the league's scoring leaders.

Beccaris' efforts earned him All-ECC first-team and USILA All-America second-team praise. He was also named the ECC Player of the Week on Mar. 30, after a career-high 10-point showing in a 19-5 win against Dominican College.

Berardis, an All-ECC and USILA All-America Honorable Mention performer a year ago, collected 30 goals and 10 assists for a 40-point output. His six man-up goals tied Beccaris for 10th-most in the conference.

Berardis tallied a combined nine points (5 G, 4 A) in postseason victories over Molloy College and New York Institute of Technology, en route to helping the Pioneers capture their third-consecutive East Coast Conference title.

Slane, who earns his first-ever Preseason All-America nod, recorded 28 goals and 22 assists for 50 points in 2015, en route to claiming All-ECC first-team and USILA All-America Honorable Mention praise. His 22 helpers ranked second on the team and ninth in the league.
