KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 4, 2015) - A pair of LIU Post men's soccer players, senior midfielder Per Forgaard (Stavanger, Norway) and sophomore back David Arvidsson (Gothenburg, Sweden) were named All-Americans by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), the organization announced Thursday night.

Both players were intergral parts of the 2015 team that won the program's second-straight NCAA Division II East Region Championship, after knocking off Southern New Hampshire University, 5-4, in penalty kicks.

Forgaard was a first-team selection after earning second-team praise in 2014. Arvidsson earned third-team recognition.

Forgaard, an NSCAA All-East Region and All-East Coast Conference first-team selection, as well as the D2CCA Player and ECC Offensive Player of the Year honoree, led the Pioneers with 13 goals and 13 assists for a 39-point output. The senior ranked in the Top-20 in Division II in nearly offensive category. He led the ECC in goals, points and shots (58), and was tied for sixth with two game-winners.

Arvidsson, an NSCAA All-East Region and All-ECC first-team selection, anchored an LIU Post defense that gave up 24 goals in 21 total games.
