Adam Winne (Ridgefield, Conn.) has been recognized as the East Coast Conference Goalie of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Winne posted his second-highest save output of 2015 on Saturday (Apr. 18), making 12 stops in a 15-7 win at Dowling. His season-high showing was a 16-save performance at Adelphi on Mar. 9.
Winne has tallied 10 saves or more in five of his 13 starts. The Ridgefield native also has 13 ground balls and one caused turnover to his credit this year.
Furthermore, Winne sports a 7.42 goals-against average and a .552 save percentage, both of which are second-best in the ECC and rank in the Top-10 in Division II.
Winne and the Pioneers return to action Saturday (Apr. 25), when they square off with ECC rival Mercy in their 2015 regular-season finale in Dobbs Ferry. The opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
