Men's Soccer Announces 17-Game Schedule For 2015
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Jul. 9, 2015) - After leading the LIU Post men's soccer team to its first NCAA East Region crown, Head Coach
Andreas Lindberg has announced a 17-game regular-season schedule for 2015.
The Pioneers will begin the season with four games on the road, three of which will be played on neutral turf. LIU Post opens up at Adelphi on Sept. 3 as part of the Adelphi Alumni Invitational. Two days later, the green and gold will take on Southern Connecticut State at Adelphi.
Next, the Pioneers travel to Bridgeport, Conn. to take part in the Purple Knight Classic. LIU Post will do battle with Merrimack on Sept. 10 and Assumption on Sept. 12.
Then, the green and gold return home for two games at Pioneer Soccer Park, where they will host Wilmington (Del.) in non-conference action, before starting their East Coast Conference schedule against NYIT on Sept. 19.
LIU Post will then travel to Washington, D.C. to take on UDC in an ECC tilt on Sept. 23, before hosting Queens (Sept. 26) and Philadelphia (Sept. 30) to close out the first month of their schedule.
On Oct. 3, the Pioneers will be back in Bridgeport, this time to take on the Purple Knights in ECC play. Then, the green and gold will visit Dowling (Oct. 7) and Post (Oct. 10), before opening a four-game homestand.
Mercy visits Brookville on Oct. 17 to open things up, then Roberts Wesleyan (Oct. 23), Daemen (Oct. 25) and Molloy (Oct. 28) round out the home schedule for the Pioneers.
On Halloween, the Pioneers will be in Sparkill to wrap up their regular-season schedule with a match against St. Thomas Aquinas.
