KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 15, 2015) - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has released the latest national rankings for NCAA Division II, and the LIU Post men's soccer team was listed 18th in Tuesday's Top-25 poll.

Last week, the green and gold played at the Purple Knight Classic, hosted by University of Bridgeport. The Pioneers' (2-1-1) first contest was a re-match of the 2014 NCAA East Region final, in which LIU Post beat Merrimack College, 2-0. This time, the Warriors got the best of the Pioneers, 2-1. On Saturday (Sept. 12), LIU Post used strong defense to hold Assumption College to just two shots over 90 minutes, as the green and gold came away with a 2-1 win.

This week, the Pioneers will host Wilmington University on Wednesday (Sept. 16), before hosting NYIT to open the East Coast Conference portion of their 2015 schedule on Saturday (Sept. 19).
