Men's Soccer Remains 18th in NSCAA Top-25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 21, 2015) - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has announced the latest national rankings for Division II, and the LIU Post men's soccer team stood pat at No. 18 in Tuesday's Top-25 poll.

Last week, the Pioneers (4-1-1, 1-0 ECC) came away with one-goal victories over Wilmington University and East Coast Conference rival New York Institute of Technology.

In Wednesday's match at Wilmington, LIU Post used a header from senior forward Per Forgaard (Stavanger, Norway) to capture a 2-1 overtime win.

Then, in the Pioneers' first ECC contest on Saturday, freshman forward Charlie Ledula (London, England) tallied the game's lone goal in the opening half, as the defense kept NYIT off the scoreboard.

Head Coach Andreas Lindberg and his LIU Post squad return to the pitch Wednesday (Sept. 22), when they square off with University of the District of Columbia in an ECC tilt at 2 p.m. in Boyds, Md.
