BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 28, 2015) - On Monday, LIU Post Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
John Jez announced the addition of two former players,
Connor Drost (Wading River, N.Y.) and
Dan Jeannotte (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), to the 2016 coaching staff.
During their tenure with the Pioneers, both players were members of the 2013, '14 and '15 East Coast Conference title-winning teams and the '14 squad that played for an NCAA Division II National Championship.
Drost enjoyed a decorated career in Brookville, as the Wading River native was a three-time All-East Coast Conference selection, a 2015 USILA All-America second-team honoree and a USILA Scholar All-American. In his four years as a Pioneer, Drost scored 69 goals and recorded 70 assists for a 139-point total.
"We are very happy to have Connor assisting our staff," Jez said. "For four years, he was a leader for our program on the field and now we are lucky enough to have him help us from the sideline. Connor will help with the offense and man-up unit."
Jeannotte was the primary face-off man in 2015 and earned USILA All-America Honorable Mention and All-ECC second-team praise for his efforts. He won 63.4 percent of his draws and led the team with 115 ground balls.
"Daniel was a dedicated, emotional, hard-working player," Jez added. "His commitment and coachability helped him achieve All-America honors during his career at LIU Post. He will bring that work ethic to the sideline and will be a valuable addition to the staff."
