KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 18, 2016) - On Tuesday, the LIU Post men's soccer team jumped three spots to No. 2 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II Top-25 Poll.
The Pioneers (11-0-1, 4-0-1 ECC) ran their unbeaten streak to 12 consecutive games last week, following a 1-0 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Friday (Oct. 14) and an 8-1 rout of Daemen on Sunday (Oct. 16).
Junior back
David Arvidsson (Gothenburg, Sweden), who was named the East Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week, led the green and gold with seven points (3 G, 1 A) in the two matches.
Wingate claimed the No. 1 ranking in the poll. St. Edwards and Simon Fraser were listed at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Rockhurst fell to No. 5, after losing its first game of 2016 to McKendree, 1-0, on Friday.

Andreas Lindberg and the Pioneers return to the pitch Thursday (Oct. 20), when they travel to Rockville Centre, N.Y. to face ECC foe Molloy College at 7 p.m.
