KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 25, 2016) - The LIU Post women's soccer team has risen to No. 22 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II Top-25 Poll, released Tuesday.

It marks a three-spot jump for the Pioneers from last week's No. 25 ranking.

LIU Post put together a spotless week, defeating Molloy, 1-0, in double overtime on Thursday (Oct. 20), and blanking St. Thomas Aquinas, 3-0, on Sunday (Oct. 23).

Sophomore back/midfielder Alice Schonfeldt (Burtrask, Sweden) tallied the game-winning goal at Molloy, while senior forward/midfielder Julia Backman (Morsil, Sweden) netted a pair of goals against STAC.

Sophomore goalie Hillevi Eklow (Väröbacka, Sweden), who was named the East Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week, stopped all nine shots she faced in the two contests.

Head Coach Mark Dawson and the Pioneers return to action Wednesday (Oct. 26), when they face Pace University in a non-conference tilt in Pleasantville, N.Y. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
