KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 1, 2016) - On Tuesday, the LIU Post men's soccer team held its ground in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II Poll, earning the No. 2 slot for a third-straight week.

The Pioneers (15-0-1, 8-0-1 ECC) completed their first unbeaten regular season in program history last week. They also won the East Coast Conference regular-season title for the seventh time in the last eight years.

In the final week of the regular season, LIU Post rolled to a 4-1 win against UDC last Wednesday (Oct. 26), before earning a hard-fought 1-0 victory at NYIT on Saturday (Oct. 29).

The Pioneers are the lone representative from the ECC in the Top-25 this week. Wingate, the only remaining Division II program without a loss or tie, continued to occupy the No. 1 spot.

Head Coach Andreas Lindberg and his LIU Post squad return to action Thursday (Nov. 3), when they face St. Thomas Aquinas College in an ECC Championship semifinal at 1 p.m. at Pioneer Soccer Park in Brookville, N.Y.
