Men's Lacrosse Drops in USILA, Lacrosse Magazine Polls
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 21, 2016) - Following Saturday's loss to Chestnut Hill College, the LIU Post men's lacrosse team fell in Monday's United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Division II polls.
The Pioneers slipped to No. 14 in the Lacrosse Magazine tally, and dropped to No. 16 in the USILA ledger.
In the loss to Chestnut Hill, senior attackman/midfielder
Ryan Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.) and senior midfielder
Anthony Berardis (Mahopac, N.Y.) scored a game-high-tying three goals apiece.
Between the pipes, junior cageminder
Matthew Liantonio (Miller Place, N.Y.) made 10 saves in the effort.
LIU Post returns to action Thursday (Mar. 24), when it welcomes in East Coast Conference foe Dominican College for a 3 p.m. opening faceoff at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
