WASHINGTON, D.C. (Mar. 4, 2016) - Two LIU Post men's basketball players were tabbed as All-East Coast Conference selections Friday, as the league office awarded its postseason honors.
Junior guard
Jared Hall (South Orange, N.J.) earned All-ECC first-team accolades, while junior forward
Greg Dotson (Abington, Pa.) was named to the second team.
Hall and Dotson led the Pioneers offensively. The pair are first and second on the team in points per game. On Feb. 23, Hall was named ECC Player of the Week after the junior averaged 24.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists in three wins the previous week.
Hall currently averages 18.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. In the final two regular season games of the season, he scored 34 and 16 points, helping the green and gold to the No. 4 seed in the ECC Championship.
Dotson is currently averaging 14.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. In the Pioneers' regular-season finale against University of the District of Columbia, Dotson scored 30 points and brought down 19 rebounds, both season highs.
Hall, Dotson and the Pioneers are back in action on Saturday (Mar. 5) when they take on St. Thomas Aquinas College in the ECC semifinals. The opening tip is slated for 5 p.m. at the UDC Sports Complex.
