CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Apr. 5, 2016) - LIU Post senior attackman Matty Beccaris (North Babylon, N.Y.) has been named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.

Beccaris led the Pioneers to a 19-5 rout of Post University last Wednesday (Mar. 30), netting a game-high-tying five goals and allocating four assists for a season-best nine-point effort.

Beccaris, who is now eight tallies shy of surpassing LIU Post Athletic Hall of Famer Tom Postel as the program's all-time goal leader, currently ranks second on the team and fifth in the ECC in scoring with 37 points (25 G, 12 A).

Beccaris and the Pioneers are back in action Saturday (Apr. 9), when they face No. 5/8 New York Institute of Technology in their 2016 regular-season road finale at noon at President's Stadium in Old Westbury.
