KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 27, 2016) - The LIU Post men's soccer team has stayed at No. 8 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II Poll, released Tuesday.

It extends the span to 15 straight weeks for the Pioneers with an appearance in the Top-25. The green and gold opened the year at No. 9 in the preseason rankings, and rose to eighth in the first regular-season tally of 2016.

LIU Post ran its winning streak to eight games last week. The Pioneers rallied to beat Philadelphia in overtime, 2-1, on Tuesday (Sept. 20), before shutting out Bridgeport, 3-0, on Saturday (Sept. 24).

Sophomore midfielder Charlie Ledula (London, England) tallied the deciding goals in both contests. His five game-winners this season currently lead the East Coast Conference and rank second in Division II.

Head Coach Andreas Lindberg and his LIU Post squad return to the pitch Saturday (Oct. 1), when they face non-conference foe Wilmington University at 2:30 p.m. in Wilmington, Del.
