CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Sept. 6, 2016) - The East Coast Conference awarded its first weekly men's soccer honors of 2016 on Tuesday, and LIU Post sophomore midfielder Charlie Ledula (London, England) was selected as the league's offensive player of the week.

Ledula made his presence known at the Adelphi Alumni Invitational, scoring a goal in both contests. He also recorded a team-high 10 shots, seven of which were on target.

In last Thursday's season-opening 2-1 victory at Adelphi, Ledula buried the game-winner with 2:14 left in regulation.

Then, on Saturday, Ledula struck for the game's first tally in the 10th minute, helping the Pioneers to a 2-1 win against Southern Connecticut State.

Ledula and his LIU Post side return to action Thursday (Sept. 8), when they face Merrimack College at the Purple Knight Classic, hosted by University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Conn. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
