BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Apr. 2, 2017) - On Mar. 22, the LIU Post men's lacrosse team raised $400 in a joint effort with the East Coast Conference to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

"Every year, the East Coast Conference comes together for a common cause," said Head Coach John Jez. "I was proud of the team's efforts to help raise funds in honor of a conference member."

In April 2016, former Assistant Sports Information Director and Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Dominican College, Michael Coffey, passed away from complications due to muscular dystrophy.

In addition to his full-time responsibilities at Dominican, Coffey was an avid supporter of the Chargers' men's lacrosse team.
