NIKE/U.S. LACROSSE MAGAZINE POLL
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Despite a narrow setback to No. 1 Adelphi University last week, the LIU Post men's lacrosse team remains ranked in the top-five in one national poll as part of the week seven release on Monday, March 25.
The Pioneers remain No. 5 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association rankings and drop just one spot to No. 7 in the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine poll after a 1-1 week on the turf.
Freshman
Jake Gillis led the Pioneers with 12 goals and two assists for 14 points last week, scoring an even six goals apiece against the top-ranked Panthers and Roberts Wesleyan College. The Green and Gold came up just short in their bid for a second victory against a No. 1 ranked opponent this season before rolling to a 17-4 victory against Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
LIU Post returns to action with two contests this week, starting with a non-conference tilt with Georgian Court University on Tuesday, March 26 before returning to East Coast Conference play on Saturday, March 30 against Molloy College.
