BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Following a 2-0 week to increase its current win streak to five games, the LIU Post men's lacrosse team moved up one spot in the week nine national rankings which were released on Monday, April 8.
The Pioneers retained their No. 5 ranking in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association poll, while improving to No. 6 in the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine rankings.
LIU Post had two convincing victories on the week, earning the two wins by a combined 33 goals. The Green and Gold opened the week with a 23-2 trouncing of Wilmington University (Del.) before taking down the University of the District of Columbia on by a 20-8 final.

Connor Farrell put together another outstanding week at the faceoff X, winning 36-of-37 faceoff attempts for the Pioneers. Junior
Alex Russell and sophomore
William Snelders led the offense with 10 points each, with Russell scoring six goals while handing out four assists and Snelders scoring eight goals with two helpers.
LIU Post returns to action on Saturday, April 13 when it hosts the New York Institute of Technology in a Battle of the Boulevard rivalry matchup beginning at 3:30 p.m. The Pioneers will also honor the 10-year anniversary of their second National Championship squad throughout the day.
