Men's Lacrosse Releases 2009 Schedule
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 20, 2008) – C.W. Post head men's lacrosse coach
John Jez released the schedule for the upcoming season on Thursday. The Pioneers will face six 2008 nationally ranked teams, including national champion New York Institute of Technology.
The Pioneers are slated to play 14 games, beginning on Feb. 14 at Wingate University followed by a meeting at Catawba College on Feb. 17.
C.W. Post will return home to Hickox Field and will host Assumption College on Feb. 28 and Dominican College on Mar. 3 before playing at Bentley College on Mar. 7.
The Pioneers are scheduled to play against Queens University of Charlotte (Mar. 11) and Saint Michael's College (Mar. 14) at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla..
C.W. Post will travel to play at 2008 national runner-up LeMoyne College on Mar. 21 before hosting Southern New Hampshire University on Mar. 28 and New York Institute of Technology on Apr. 4.
The Pioneers will play at Adelphi University on Apr. 11 followed by two home games against Mercyhurst College (Apr. 18) and Molloy College (Apr. 25). They will close out the regular season at Dowling College on May 2.
C.W. Post posted an 11-3 overall record in 2008, posting the most wins since 1999, and was ranked fourth in the final USILA poll.
