BOSTON (May 25, 2008) – C.W. Post junior attacker Greg Cerar (Farmingdale, N.Y.) was named United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) First Team All-America while junior midfielder Matt Dimler (Long Valley, N.J.), junior defender Bryan Leonard (Yorktown, N.Y.) and sophomore midfielder Mike Cama (Levittown, N.Y.) were named to the Second Team. Junior attacker Dave Loftus (Merrick, N.Y.) received Honorable Mention, the association announced Sunday evening.

In addition, Dimler was named a USILA Scholar All-American.

For Cerar, this marks the first time being named to the First Team after receiving Honorable Mention in 2007. Also named First Team All-ECC, Cerar led the Pioneers with 43 goals and 24 assists, which ranked him fourth in Division II in goals per game (3.14) and points per game (4.86).

Leonard caused nine turnovers and picked up 16 ground balls that helped the Pioneer defense keep its opponents to just 95 goals scored (.205 SOG).

Dimler was fourth in scoring with 17 goals and 10 assists for the Pioneers.

Cama put up outstanding sophomore statistics, winning 178 of 257 (.693) face-offs that placed him third in Division II, while registering a team-leading 102 ground balls.

Loftus proved to be a powerful option in the game and was second in scoring with 33 goals with nine assists while picking up 24 ground balls.
