Men's Lacrosse Announces 2010 Schedule

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Dec. 16, 2009) – C.W. Post head men's lacrosse coach John Jez, in his fourth season, announced the Pioneers' schedule for the upcoming 2009 season. In all, the Pioneers will host nine games on Hickox Field this spring. 
The Pioneers will open on the road at Queens University (N.C.) on Feb. 13 followed by a meeting at Catawba College on Feb. 16. 
C.W. Post returns to Brookville for a four-game homestand beginning with Merrimack on Feb. 27 followed by Seton Hill (March 6), Mercy (March 7). 
March 13 will feature a double billing with women's lacrosse. Women's lacrosse will face Southern New Hampshire early in the day and the men taking on Bentley in the afternoon.   
The East Coast Conference portion of the schedule begins March 20 at Chestnut Hill with dates against Dominican (March 24), NYIT (April 3), Dowling (April 10), Wheeling Jesuit (April 17), Molloy (April 24), Mercyhurst (May 1) and Lake Erie (May 9).
The Pioneers will play additional non-conference tilts against American International (March 21) and Southern New Hampshire (March 28).
The Pioneers won their second national title in program history last season when they defeated previously unbeaten LeMoyne, 8-7, on May 24 at Gillette Stadium, home of the NFL's New England Patriots.
