Sciulla Named East Coast Conference Goalkeeper Of The Week

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (April 20, 2009)- The East Coast Conference released its weekly report, naming Daniel Sciulla (Merrick, N.Y.) as ECC Goalkeeper of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Sciulla made a remarkable sixteen saves against No. 6 Mercyhurst College to ensure the Pioneers a 10-5 win. He also registered one ground ball and one caused turnover in the defeat over the Lakers.

 Sciulla is among the leading goalkeepers in the conference with a .611 goals against average and .649 saves percentage. He has made 113 saves this season while allowing only 61 goals against.
 
The Pioneers now improve their record to 11-1 overall, 4-0 in conference play.
